Snickers Caramel Popcorn Recipe {Fall for Fall}

Fall for me means so many things, but most of all it means lots of yummy treats that I don’t get to indulge in the rest of the year, like Caramel Apples and fried Fair food (that’s the best) and Snickers Caramel Popcorn.

I know, I know, you’re all, “What the heck’s Snickers Caramel popcorn?”, well I promise you it’s like nothing else you’ve ever had…you must try it!  And since I happen to be like, such an awesome person, I thought I’d share what’s become my go-to snack with all of you!

Snickers Caramel Popcorn

Kettle Corn (I used the kind you pop in the microwave)

Caramel Layer
1- 14 oz. bag of caramels

1/4 cup whipping cream

Nougat Layer

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 tsp. vanilla

Chocolate Layer

1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 1/2 cups chopped peanuts

Waxed Paper

1.  Pop Kettle corn in microwave and spread onto wax (or parchment) paper lined baking sheet to cool.

2.  In a medium sauce pan combine caramels and whipping cream until smooth.  Drizzle caramel sauce over popcorn and place in the fridge to cool.

3.  In another medium sauce pan  melt butter over medium heat, adding in milk and sugar and stirring until the mixture is dissolved.  Bring mixture to a boil and allow butter/sugar mixture to boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.  After 5 minutes, add in marshmallow fluff, 1/4 cup peanut butter, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.  Remove popcorn from refrigerator and drizzle nougat mixture over popcorn.  Return to refrigerator to cool.

4.  In another medium sauce pan melt chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter until thoroughly melted and smooth.  Remove caramel/nougat popcorn from refrigerator and drizzle with chocolate sauce.  Sprinkle chopped peanuts over the popcorn and return to refrigerator to cool completely.

5.  Store popcorn in an airtight container (I used a Ziploc baggie and it worked perfectly) and keep refrigerated.

6.  Enjoy!
